Privacy Policy

Last updated July 12, 2026
IndySkiMaps does not have user accounts, logins, or passwords. We do not collect names, emails, or payment information unless you voluntarily email us or submit feedback through an embedded form.

1. Who we are

IndySkiMaps ("IndySkiMaps," "we," "us") operates the website at indyskimaps.com (the "Site"), an independent map tool for Indy Pass holders. This policy explains what data the Site collects and how it's used. See our About page for contact details.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the Site uses third-party tools that automatically collect some technical information when you visit:

None of this data is tied to a name, email address, or account, because the Site has none.

3. Your device location (browser geolocation)

If you allow it, the Site asks your browser for your approximate location to automatically center the map on nearby resorts. This happens entirely in your browser — your location is never sent to or stored on any IndySkiMaps server. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in your browser's site settings; the map falls back to a default view.

4. Cookies and advertising

The Site displays advertising, which may be served by Google AdSense or similar third-party ad networks once enabled. These networks and their partners may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance.

5. Affiliate links

Some links on the Site (for example, lodging, gear, or rental car links) are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase or booking, IndySkiMaps may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. The destination sites (e.g., Booking.com, Stay22, REI, DiscoverCars) have their own separate privacy policies and may set their own cookies once you leave the Site.

6. Data we do not collect

We do not require account creation, do not store passwords, and do not process payments directly on the Site. If a future paid feature is introduced, payment would be handled entirely by a third-party processor (e.g., Stripe) under its own privacy policy — this policy will be updated first.

7. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site, contact us and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site's features or data practices change (for example, when a real ad network or analytics tool goes live). The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the update.
